Power Pour began as a simple idea: to make the home bar experience better, safer, and more exciting.

My name is Jeff, and I’m the founder of Power Pour. In early 2020, my wife and I were preparing to start a family and like many other people stuck at home due to the pandemic, we were doing some remodeling including adding a home bar. I knew we needed a way to store liquor bottles securely and safely out of reach of children, and I didn't want to rely on a traditional liquor cabinet that could easily be left unlocked. At the same time, I wanted a solution that delivered a true “wow factor,” something that would make guests say, “This is awesome!”

As I looked across the room at my kegerator, the idea struck me: why not create something similar—but for liquor? I searched for a product that matched what I envisioned, but nothing on the market offered the combination of features I wanted, especially the level of child safety I felt was essential. So, I decided to build it myself.

After weeks of trial and error, I created a fully functional prototype. It was bulky and primitive, relying on relay logic and timers—but it worked. From there, the design continued to evolve, and I began adding features that would define what Power Pour would become:

• A microprocessor-based system to dramatically reduce size and improve performance
• App-based controls, putting customization and control right at your fingertips
• A color-selectable LED integrated into the pour spout to illuminate your favorite glass
• Remote firmware updates, enabling future enhancements without replacing hardware

After years of development, Power Pour became the product you see and perhaps own today. One of its most unique and valuable features is the ability to receive over-the-air (OTA) updates. How often have you purchased a product, only to see a better version released a year later? I wanted to eliminate that frustration. With OTA updates, your Power Pour can continue to gain new features and improvements long after purchase, keeping it on par with brand-new units.
